nino's: "elegant italian cuisine on the upper east side" Nino's Restaurant Tip by nicolaitan

Nino's Restaurant, New York City: 1 reviews and 0 photos

under the same ownership as Osso Bucco and Nino's Positano, this upscale restaurant has a sophisticated decor with murals on the walls and nighty music. The wide ranging menu has appetizers from $10 up and entrees between $22-35. The service is competent and unintrusive. Sharing of entrees is not frowned upon, and by sharing the total cost for a couple can remain under $100 if you are careful with drinks. Speaking of which, the martinis are close to superb as they might well be at $13-15. We have never jhad a bad meal here. Entree portions are large and easily shared. This is a great place for a quiet romantic dinner

Favorite Dish: grilled dishes - veal chops, tuna with onions. The signature dish is a lobster fra diavolo - a spectacular plate of lobster, pasta, and sauce - far exceeds the price range above but perfect for splitting. We recently shared a large filet mignon done to perfection. (We do not share martinis.)
