Ambasciatore: "Palermoīs secrets" Sicilia Hotel Tip by Hans_MUC

Sicilia Hotels: 48 reviews and 83 photos

I was in Sicily for some days, and found the Hotel ambasciatore. Itīs close to the train-station (400m only), so one can go with the regular bvus from the airport (5 ?) to the city (45 min), and walk that short distance. Coming to the house, I was a little "surprised", thoughT" that might be a pretty bad thing...", then I entered the old fashioned lift...5th floor... and then I got a nice Hotel room, unfortunately to the streetīs side (you should insist to get a room to the other side!!). Very special was the breakfast at the rooftop-terrace with a fantastic view over Palermo, nearly no noise! The breakfast was (italian like) simple Croissants, a good Cappuccino, and cakes...some Muesli... not a big thing, but ok... and that view!
So - it was 45 ?/p.P. (90 in a double), but as I know italian hotels, which can be very disappointing and destroy any positive ambiance (not clean, old interior ect), it is a good deal to stay there!

Unique Qualities: fantastic terrace view!
Lift to 5th floor
400m to main-train station
in the old center, all in walking distance

Price Comparison: about average
Directions: Center, old district

Price: US$40-80
Theme: Hotel

Review Helpfulness: 2.5 out of 5 stars
