WHAT IS SAKURA EBI


Sakura-ebi are animal plankton of approx. 4-5cm, which have approx. 160 illuminant spots on the surface of their bodies and a life of about one year.

The shrimp is a beautiful translucent pink, a jewel of the sea. Sakura-ebi can be caught ONLY in the Suruga bay.

They feed up on the plentiful nourishment brought into the bay by the waters of the Fuji, Abe and Oi rivers.
