Hey, you're in paradise, right? Do yourself a favor and spring for a convertible. All the rental car agencies have them and if you're lucky you may be able to get a free or cheap upgrade. They are usually in demand but if you go during a slow time, you just may get a deal. Yes, it does rain almost every day in Hawaii but it's usually for only a short period. I can almost guarantee that you'll be able to drive around with the top down at least once a day.

At the very least get a car with a sunroof!
