35 E. Wacker is 40 floors, with floors 2-22 originally being used as parking space. It was once called the Jeweler's Building, and delivery vehicles would be lifted to the 22nd floor to make safe transfers. The building was built with the intention of beautifying the area.
The architect Helmut Jahn's showroom occupies the dome at the top of the bulding.
