Amos Andersonin Tidemuseo (Art Museum), Helsinki: 3 reviews and 3 photos
The museum was opened in 1965, and is in fact one of the largest privately owned art museums in Finland.
Amos Anderson was a printing magnet (1878 - 1961) and the facility is located in his former home and offices.
There are permanent collections and visiting exhibitions which are shown in the museum.
Generally the collections are comprised of 20th century Finnish art - but there is an extensive range of pieces by modernists.
The museum is also home to the Sigurd Frosterus collection, which arrived in 1994. This includes works by Maguns Enckell and A W Finch.
The Birger Carlstedt collection is also housed within the museum and contains key works from the early phases of Finnish abstract art.
