  Chinatown looking down Grant St.

Chinatown was great. I've been to San Francisco several times and this was my first time I spent any amount of time in this area of the city. We spent the whole day shopping and wandering around the bustling streets. You never know what you'll find in some of the shops there. It was fun to go into the fish markets (can't belive they sell live turtles there!), buy unique grocery items (Chinese peanuts & dried squid to name a few) just to try something different. And of course the food is excellent and you don't have to go to a fancy restaurant in this area to get a great meal. Of course remember to wear comfortable shoes, especially if plan on spending the entire day here!
