Around January and February right next to the little airfield of Megiddo you can find one of most charming spots in Israel. At this time the little meadow is full with thousands of colourful anemones. And the title is not for nothing. The word armageddon is a distortion of the Hebrew name Har Megiddo (Mount Megiddo). It's not really a mountain but a little hill and is visible right next to Meggido juction.

If you drive on road number 65 towards Afula (eastwards), you should pass Megiddo Junction and keep driving for a little and take the first left turn. The sign will direct you the airfield.
