  Puente de la Mujer

This area of the city is usually considered part of the Centro, and is located right near the river. Most of the buildings here were abandoned warehouses until the last decade or so. They've now been refurbished to accommodate trendy restaurants, shops, and apartments. This area is worth checking out for the varied restaurants they have here, although some of them can be a little expensive.

Pictured here is the Puente de la Mujer ("Woman's Bridge"). I've heard several people comment on the irony of the bridge's shape, alleging that it looks a little phallic.
