The Gaudeamus Huette is located at the foot of the Ellmauer Tor and a good place to get a final refreshment before hiking up to the Tor or a bit higher up to the Gruttenhuette. For people who aren't as ambitious a walk from the Wochenbrunner Alm (where you can park your car) to the G- Alm , is nice enough. It only takes about 30 - 40 min. to get to your destinatio
The Huette was built about a hundred years by the Berliner Mountain Climber SV and used to be the meeting point of some famous mountain climbers such as Hermann Buhl. It is 1263 m above sea level.
