Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Make sure that you bring layers with you, especially if you are travelling during the spring like we did. The desert can get suprisingly cool at night, and of course, very hot during the day. The Grand Canyon can get snow into June, as it is situated at 7,000 feet. A wide-brimmed hat is handy as well, and I noticed there are many for sale at reasonable prices in Arizona, if you can't find one in your hometown.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Make sure you bring a high SPF sunscreen, especially if you don't have a base tan like we didn't, coming out from a Canadian winter.
