"Vaisakhi, part 2" Vaisakhi Tip by RB_Oakes

Vaisakhi, Vancouver: 3 reviews and 3 photos

Punjabi beats from the Dohl Nation Academy

Vancouver has a large Sikh population and Vaisakhi is the day they let their hair down, so to speak. Actually, they merely change the colour of turban to orange. They jam the streets, dancing and drumming. A massive parade flows from the Ross Street Temple, down Marine Drive and up Main Street. The event has received more media attention in recent years and with few street festivals in Vancouver it will only get bigger.

Address: South Main Street
Directions: Main St between Marine & 49th.
