The Cathedral is located on the Royal Mile, and is immediately adjacent to the Old Scottish Parliament ( the address of Parliament Square is a giveaway!). The buildings are now used as the High Courts of Justiciary for Scotland.

The Cathedral is fairly small, but has much history, and is home to the Knights of the Order of the Thistle. This is a group, which has limited membership, which is headed by Her Majesty the Queen. Their Chapel is excellent to see.
