Tu Duc Tomb is actually a palace containing several tombs. It was built between 1864 and 1867, as the second palace of Emperor Tu Duc, as a place where he could escape from affairs of state, and features a lakeside pavilion from which he used to fish. As well as the tomb of Tu Duc, the tombs of Emperor Kien Phuc and Empress Le Thien Anh are also housed here.
