Donghaksa is one of Korea's most famous Buddhist temples. Work started on it in 724 AD and King Taejo prayed here for national prosperity.

The original temple was destroyed by fire in 1754 and rebuilt in 1814.

Directions: In Kyeryongsan National Park, south-west of Daejeon.
