  "Taxi" to see Mingun.
by A2002

Bullock carts are seen only at places where there are padi fields. Bullock carts are not allowed to enter the city of Yangon and Mandalay. In Bagan, it is the drier part of the country, hence bullock carts are not common.

This picture is taken in Mingun. These bullock-carts are known as "taxi" to the locals. It will cost USD1 for a ride. It is not a long ride... It's to somewhere within walking distance. When you alight the boat, there will be many people asking if you need a "taxi". At first, we thought it's a 3-wheeled, or car... But as we walked further, we realised that "taxi" will be the bullock cart.
