PREPARE TO LAUNCH ON A JOURNEY OF REDISCOVERY!
The private collection of Chang Ya Fa, who started collecting the toys when he was just 6 yrs old. The S$2M 5-storeys high museum houses fractions of his 50000 pieces collection. The exhibit is estimated to be worth S$5 million. The most expensive piece I saw was worth a cool US$20000 and the oldest toy in the collection is dated 1840.
At the time of my visit (circa Jun 2006), the museum collection only comprises 3% of his collection (as advised by the tour guide) and it was already astounding. We caught glimpses of rare collections of Popeye the Sailor, Felix the Cat, superheroes such as Batman & Robin, Superman and even pop and royalty paraphenelia from The Beatles and the 1953 Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.

MOST (Museum of Shanghai Toys)
This is the smaller museum so the exhibits are a little more cluttered into 2 floors. The collection of China toys by Marvin Chan consists of collections from the early 1900s right through the political correctness upheavals of the Cultural Revolution. Tin toys are the main theme throughout the collection.
