  Zarb - a Dana feast
by TheWanderingCamel

The RSCN guest house at Wadi Dana is a lovely place to stay. There are 9 rooms of varying sizes which sleep 23 people in total. You really do need to book as the place is popular with small groups such as birdwatchers. The rooms are simple but comfortable, there are comfy couches and a big log fire to sit around on chilly nights, the view is stunning and the food (which must be ordered ahead of your arrival - this place is quite isolated remember) is good. Should you be travelling in a group of 8 or more you can order a very special Jordanian dish - zarb, a whole lamb cooked long and slow in a clay oven in the ground. It will be a feast to remember.
