"ARNO river" River Arno Tip by Umea6

River Arno, Florence: 28 reviews and 59 photos

  Arno River
by Umea6

There is no real city without a river that runs through it, I believe. Rivers give a special flow and charm to each city. Arno river is the biggest that runs through Tuscany. It crosses all the region from Mount Falterona (near the city of Arezzo) all the way to Pisa in the western Tuscany where it enters Tyrrhenian Sea.

Arno river has been known to be a wild river in historical times since it flooded the city regularly.
However there is also the opposite side to this, if the season is dry, so is this large river.
