"Walking the Annan" Top 5 Page for this destination Dumfries and Galloway Favorite Tip by nickandchris

Favorite thing: There are so many walking opportunities in Dumfries and Galloway, from the simple to the strenuous.
Fondest memory: Being river fans, when going for a walk, we try and find one to walk along. No shortage of them here. We walked along the Annan from Bridekirk and were rewarded with a peaceful, interesting walk where we even saw a red squirrel.
The wood sorrel, periwinkle and celandine created a colourful background. We spotted some purple flowers, like the orchid family, that we hadn't seen before.
