The Dairy: now a visitors center
by butterflykizzez04

This is an old Dairy located in Central Park. It is very lovely. It was closed while we were there because it was so early in the morning.

They have turned it into a visitors center.
The Dairy is a 19th Century style building overlooking Wollman Rink. In addition to providing visitor information, the Dairy also houses a reference library and an exhibit about the history and design of the Park. There is also a 12-foot model of the Park.
A new feature is an interactive touch-screen kiosk providing general information about the park. It was specially designed with children in mind, but the information is valuable to all.

It is free:
Open 11:00 am to 5:00 pm daily
(closes at 4:00 pm during the winter)

Address: Inside Central Park
Directions: Mid-Park at 65th Street
Phone: (212) 794-6564
