Sarasota is semi-famous for its excellent Thai food, and Siam Orchid is partly why.
Siam Orchid is definitely the most refined Thai restaurant in Sarasota and the biggest. Though I usually find them adorable, a lot of Thai restaurants have the tendancy to make me feel claustrophobic. Here, they take all the cute things about Thai restaurants: wood carvings, wall plaques, neat fabric, little water dishes with flowers floating in them, and devine wait staff outfits, and put them in a less sardine-can atmosphere.
Besides eye candy and elbow room, the food at Siam Orchid is really, really good. They are willing to work around whatever crazy food allergy / particular food hatred that you have, too, because they make everything fresh.

Favorite Dish: The Amazinf Tofu really is amazing, and so are the banana coins.
