"Where's the theme?" Bally's Las Vegas Tip by PinkFloydActuary
Bally's Las Vegas, Las Vegas: 14,346 reviews and 81 photos
Got shipped over here because the Paris was overbooked. The check-in staff is quite friendly, and the rooms are clean and spacious. Tried the buffet for breakfast, and found it to be just OK. Lots of shopping underneath the casino complex. The gambling is poor - tables are not less than $10. Drink service lags as well. Go next door (connected by a shopping/dining area) to Paris for the gaming.
Update - 2013:
We stayed here again in 2013. My brother got there a night before I did, and had major issues with the door, so they upgraded us to a junior suite. This made me look at Ballys in a whole new light. Give them props for the service (although he did have to request the upgrade.) The room itself was also very nice - lots of space, and it always helps to have a sink outside the bathroom. It also is tough to complain based on the location - Ballys is on the best corner of the strip - great access to anywhere you want to go.
Unique Qualities: The pool actually has a deep end! Somewhat of a rarity in traveling these days.
Depending on where your room is, you may have a great view of the Bellagio fountains across the street.
