Let's face it, I love the cheesy hotels. Here, the theme is obviously castles and sorcerey. Check-in was a breeze, and we found the staff to be very friendly. Years ago, the table limits were low, but they have gone up a bit over the years, and we no longer think of the Excalibur as having "cheap" gaming. The rooms were serviceable. Avoid the buffet at all costs. They also have one of those "Medieval Times" dinner shows with jousting - food there gave us indigestion as well. The pool is small and nothing special.

Unique Qualities: Small monorail to the Luxor and Mandalay Bay, but if you need to walk off al the food you've been indulging in, skip it as you can walk between the three casinos without having to go outside.
