For those of you who can tear yourself away from the lovely beaches, and the rum punches, etc., a visit to the Barbados Museum and Historical Society is worth it.
It is housed in a former military prison, the collections include prints of West Indian life, archaelogical finds, maps, and a childrens gallery.
It is small, but so interesting, there is a small fee to pay.
2009 Admission prices - Adults BDS$15.00 Children BDS$7.50
All CARICOM Nationals are FREE upon presentation of ID.. but donations would be appreciated
Opening hours - Mon - Sat 9am - 5pm Sunday - 2pm - 6pm
Outside in the courtyard is a grassed area and foliage, a pleasent area to view.
