A decor for a SF movie maybe? Rocks, Rocks, Rocks... The lanscape is sometimes open, sometimes frowning. The road is meandering and following the edge of the gorge. Lots of little tunnels, which once were built for a small railroad.

The region is dry, dry, dry and hot! A little, but fast-running river at the bottom can't drop in the temperature.

We had a picnic between these rocks. American style. It was great! The view was overwhelming. Our New Mexican friends were used to the heat... but we, Belgians had to hide in a tunnel to catch a breath.

I never wear a sun hat, but that day, a few hours later, I bought one. Our friends had warned me: "We"ll learn you today to wear a hat!

And right they were!

Also, bring lots of water or you won't survive!

Directions: I just don't know how to get there :-) It's the end of the world! (kidding)
From the Walatowa Visitor's center : Higway 4 North and then somewhere to the West.
