We were in the vicinity of the Piazza Oberdan (but frankly it could have been anywhere), a beautiful classical European boulevard with four to six story apartment buildings with balconies and french doors, a landscaped center meridian and all the elegance of a Sophia Loren movie. Unfortunately, the local tagging teams had also made their marks. Now it can't hurt you and the the words are rarely legible enough to offend even the most tender sensibilities but it sure can be annoying. I include it here not to shame Milan because we all know none of us are immune but rather to provide an alert. You're going to see it...probably a lot of it. Ignore it as much as you can and don't let deter you from enjoying all the wonderful other things you will find.
