While our room was fine, I was very put off by the foyer and lobby to the office. It reeked of stale cigarettes. Cleary, the staff thinks nothing of chain smoking and leaving a disgusting smell. I couldn't even imagine partaking of the contintental breakfast in a room that smelled like a dirty ashtray. A diner is said to be on premises, but it appears to be in transition to a Mediterranean restaurant, rather than a typical all-day/all night diner. A Boston Market and a Mobil Mart are within easy walking distance. At the time of my stay, the 1st floor rooms were being remodeled, so only 2nd floor rooms were available, and there is no lift.

Unique Qualities: Close to I-95 and to downtown Newark. However, there are many other choices available. This one was the lowest price.
