It is unusual, to say the least

We made a short stop at Blönduós, which allowed me to have a look at the town's modern church, which is designed in the shape of a volcanic crater.

Many of Iceland's modern churches are inspired by the country's unique landscape. This is one of the more intriguing ones I had the chance to see; I have a feeling there are many others like this waiting to be discovered.

Directions: Blönduós is on the Ring Road in Northwest Iceland.
