For a long time the Antwerp diamondmuseum had a bad location. First in the Jezusstraat and later in the Lange Herentalsestraat. It was hard to find the way to these places. After five years of planning and building the museum finaly found a better spot. It is located now in a new building behind the protected frontwall of the Dijksterhouse at the Koningin Astridplein. This place is much more easy to find.

The new museum is an experience where you'll be put straight in the world of this magnificent gem. Thanks to the audioguide everyone can do the tour on his/her own pace. You can do a lot of research in the museum. There are computers and videofilms with information on the mining of diamonds, cutting, polishing and so on.
You also will find a treasure on historic diamondjewelry and contemporary diamondjewels.
