Costa Teguise has recently undergone a massive re vamp. Tree planting, children's play areas and is looking smart and clean.
Costa Teguise to the East of the Island is often referred to as "Breezy Teguise" which makes it a wonderful surfing place, is the second largest of the 3 most popular resorts on Lanzarote. This is a purpose built resort, designed by the famous architect Cesar Manrique, and is now unrecognizable to the little fishing Village it once was.
The place is relatively easy to get round and quite flat, the new walkway along the sea front now stretches for about 3 miles from Las Cucharas beach to the Kings house south of Teguise.
The beaches of which there are 3 are clean and with 2 sandy, deck chairs and umbrellas can be hired on the main Las Cucharas beach, the other 2 are little coves and often very quiet brilliant for scuba diving in the warm blue waters
There is a 4th beach, Playa Bastion which has is mainly pebbled and with little areas for you to sunbathe and shelter from the warm wind.
Because Costa Teguise if often windy, it makes it an ideal place to wind surf, and, there are many surf schools around as well as diving school's, so there are lots of water sport on offer.
There are plenty of shop's, bars and restaurants all of which are of a good standard and reasonably priced.
A craft market held in the Pueblo Marinero every Friday night.
Costa Teguise is not a large resort, it's very laid back and night life is casual, not a party place, good for family's.
The resort is well spread out, having groups of hotel's apartment's, shop's and restaurant/s round each complex.
it is an all year round resort.
Address: North/east of Arrecife
