Favorite thing:

The Municipality of Stari Grad covers an area of 698 hectares, which is inhabited by a population of around 70,000.

The name of Stari Grad (The Old Town) reflects a historical position and the role of the old downtown area from which Belgrade further developed. The present-day Municipality emanated from and got the present-day name with the amalgamation of the municipalities of Stari Grad, Skadarlija, and a part of Terazije in 1957.

Fondest memory:
The Day of the Municipality is Palm Sunday, which is celebrated in the last week before Easter.
