There is a plan. That plan is to have pedestrians able to walk from the end of MacQuarie Pier (Nobbys) down to Carrington, a distance of about 5 kms. It is approaching fruition though it has taken years.
Both ends are complete, it's the middle where the holdup is at the moment.
This shot is taken from the Carrington end where you take a loop through the mangroves and someone has thoughtfully provided some sculpture to take your mind off the unsightly pollution that man seems to insist on leaving in the water until, at high tide, it ends up in the mud and roots of the mangroves.
There are a few sculptures and they come into view in the most unexpected places but bring a welcome relief to the sameness of the mangrove mud.
Directions: West of the CBD, down past the marina.
