"Capitol City Microbrewery" CLOSED - Capitol City Microbrewery Tip by Ewingjr98

The Capitol City is a regional chain headquartered in the capitol city of Washington DC. Other than their two restaurants in DC, they also have locations in Arlington, VA, and here in Baltimore.

Maybe the best feature of Capitol City is the fresh, warm, soft (and free!) pretzels they bring with your beer. I had an average nut brown ale along with their "blue plate special" hot ham and cheese sandwich ($4+ per beer and $8 for a sandwich and fries). Prices are kind of high with sandwiches ranging from $8 to $13 and main dishes that run about $13 for pasta to $20 for a steak or the BBQ platter.

A welcome change from the Capitol Hill location of Capitol City, service here was excellent. During a 1 1/2 meal, our waitress probably stopped at our table at least every ten minutes. Since we were nursing hangovers, we certainly needed a constant resupply of water and bloody mary's.

The best feature of Capitol City is their prime location on the inner harbor. We had a window table overlooking the beautiful waterfront area.
