The Puerta de Alcalá (Alcalá's door) was one of Madrid's main entrances in early years, when the city was much smaller. It is one of the surviving doors when Madrid was a city between walls.
Located at the Plaza de Independencia, it is next to one of the entrances of the Parque del Retiro.
