  Plaza Mayor during Xmas time

The Plaza Mayor is definately one of Madrid's most beautiful square. Surrounded by buildings, this square was used for bullfighting in early days. Nowadays, the square is the perfect meeting point and it's full with cafes and restaurants.
During Christmas time, the square turns into an open market, selling all kinds of season's decorations. You'll be able to see lots of spanish walking around, drinking beer, and celebrating, while using strange wigs of all kinds (red, blue, afro, etc). Now that I think of it, I still don't understand the wig thing... does anybody know???
Anyway, the square is definately a beautiful spot in the heart of Madrid.
