Dragon Hotel - "matchbox" designed hotel.

The public areas of the hotel have been recently spruced up but it is obvious that the place has been neglected by previous owners and the room we stayed in was tired and in need of refurbishment (and should have been sold as a single room). However nothing was too much trouble for the staff who answered every request with efficiency and good humour. The hotel is well located for the centre of the city though a room at the front might be noisy in the summer as the hotel is placed opposite a major roundabout. The breakfast was of a reasonable standard; the main problem was that the self-service hotplate needed topping up more frequently. You had to wait sometime to receive a varied plate of food!

Unique Qualities: Pros: The staff were friendly and efficient; convenient location for city centre.
There are leisure facilities including a pool that we didn't use.

Cons: Our room was cramped. The bed was pushed against a wall. Grim view of air conditioning units from window.

Price per room for two.
