The Pioneer Museum of Colorado Springs has many exhibits, including Native American culture, history of the Colorado Springs / Pikes Peak area, and western art. This is a must see should you come to Colorado Springs. The museum was once the old El Paso County Courthouse.

When you first enter, you will be greeted by the original birdcage elevator that was placed in the old courthouse when it was built in 1909.

In addition to these, there is an old restored courtroom from 1909 (very beautiful), carriages, and even the front of pioneer Helen Hunt's house has been restored and placed here (located on the third floor).

Admission is Free.
