  Red Hot & Blue
by b1bob

My waiter told me the story behind this place. The idea for this restaurant started when a congressmen for Tennessee was so homesick for Memphis style barbecue that he, together with a couple of other folks founded Red Hot & Blue. In keeping with the Memphis theme, there were posters of various blues singers and there was blues music over the sound system. The service was prompt and attentive.

Favorite Dish: I had ribs in a dry rub served together with fries and baked beans. I am a conoisseur of barbecue. These ribs were all right, but I'm used to Carolina style barbecue. Tennessee barbecue is more about ribs and dry rub and Carolina barbecue is about minced or pulled pork barbecue in tomato, mustard, or vinegar sauce.

Price Comparison: about average
Directions: They are located across several states, but I can vouch for the location in Richmond, Virginia.
Price: US$11-20
Rating: 3
Theme: Barbecue
