Man i love this kind of stuff, li kemany other people do as well. Who doenst like a good shipwreck, and the story behind it?

There have been 13 known shipwrecks off Rottnest island, some dating back as early as the 17th century. Rottnest which is known for its beautiful reefs has caused dasaster for passing ships.

Around the island you can find Plaques that have been placed to mark the locations of the many wrecks. On the plaques it will tell you the distance offshore of the wreck, and a brief history about the ship.

There are also Glass bottom boat tours that take you around the island to observe the sea life, the reefs, and some of the shipwrecks.

Make sure to grab a free courtesy map of the island from the visitors center which marks some of the shipwreck locations to look for along your way.
