The new season was just starting in late Feb. 2005. Apparently you can only buy tickets at the theater. I stood in line for an hour and a half. I think this was because it was the first day they opened up ticket sales to non-subscribers. It was worth the wait! I bought the best available seat for $40 pesos. They say the acoustics are perfect and it seemed so to me. The B.A. Philharmonic performed classical Musica Pop under the direction of Arturo Diemecke. It was fantastic! The theater is incredibly ornate and beautiful. Don't miss this. It's great people watching too...
