This is another place you will immediately recognize from TV, movies, books, and magazines. It has 36 Doric columns--one for each state at the time of Lincoln's tragic assassination in 1865.

Look for the Gettysburg Address, inscribed on the south wall. By the way, this was the site of Martin Luther King's immortal "I have a dream" speech.
