Faro is an all inclusive resort that is located close to the Marina about 15 minutes from the golden triangle. The hotel has two resturants. One is serves sea food and classic mexican food and overlooks the ocean. There is also a little bar that has pool tables or little cafe tables to sit and enjoy a beer or conversation. Most of the hotel staff were more than nice and were forgiving of my mal espanol! With the all inclusive deal all meals and drinks were included. I had been sceptical due to past experience where I stayed at an all inclusive in Cancun and the beer was keg beer and tasted like watered down horse *** and the food consisted of hamburgers and french fries. Who goes to Mexico and doesn't want good Mexican food??The food hear was good and you have the chance to order what ever you want off the menu rather than buffet style. The bartenders were awesome and on my last night broke out the good tequilla for me! I am glad I picked this resort over the other one located in town.

Unique Qualities: Faro has a unique style. The building itself is a bit 70ish but the room was comfortable with a great view of the ocean and light house. It was clean......but i think the cliff the hotel is built on really made it unique along with the little seafood resturant built on the ocean at the bottom of the cliff. It is a treck to climb the stairs back up to the room or the bathroom from the beach but the beach was very private and there were not a lot of vendors pestering you to buy stuff and it was very quiet and peaceful.
