Passauerhof: "For wine lovers" Grinzing & Heurigen Tip by brazwhazz

Now, before I get started, I must confess I am not a wine-drinker. However, our group decided to visit Vienna's famed wine taverns (Heurigen) to taste some local specialties.

Heurigen are not for budget travellers, but Passauerhof offered some very competitve prices compared to other comparable restaurants in the Grinzing area. Service was a little slow, but the food was good and I had the best grape juice of my life! The clear beverage felt like the grapes had just been picked. I also tried out some "Sturm", which is a very sweet wine commonly sold everywhere in Vienna.

If you're into Heurigen, I would recommend this one. If you're not, I still recommand taking a stroll in the Grinzing district, which is unlike any other in Vienna.
