Venus: "Venus" Venus - Closed Tip by grkboiler

Venus - Closed, Chicago: 1 reviews and 1 photos

Venus is a traditional Cypriot restaurant in Greektown in the spot where the Barrel Cafe used to be. It has great food, friendly service, a full bar shaped in an ancient ship, and live music every Friday and Saturday night. The classy interior makes it even more enjoyable.

In my opinion, the best time to go is during the live music. Saturday nights tend to be better, and you can stay until 3am (see my nightlife tip).

Venus is open 7 days a week for dinner. Free valet parking is available. Hours are:
4pm - 12am Monday to Thursday
4pm - 2am Friday
4pm - 3am Saturday
12pm - 12am Sunday

Favorite Dish: Honestly, everything I have eaten is good. I usually get mezes (appetizers), ranging from meatballs to stuffed grape leaves to taramosalata. The wine selection is also good. Try the Cypriot wines.
