there are two churches under the name of San Apollinare in Ravenna - nuovo (new) and the older one. The "new" one is in the center of the city. The older one is away from the center, you'd need to take a bus. Actually "old" and "new" are only words regarding the location of these churches. They are both alike if you tried to compare exterior.

The "new" church was originally built in 6th century in 16th century covered with marble. You might notice those rounded towers at most of the churches in Ravenna, this church is non exception - its tower dates back to 10th century. Inside the church you will find mosaics too.
