Yanbu AL-Nakhal City (The Palms' Spring City)

Named by this name for its plenty of running springs (natural fountains) and large number of palms trees and this name imply to a wide region in the Hejaz area eastern of Madinah city.

Yanbu AL-Nakhal has remarkable and big fame in the Islamic history because it exist on the convoies road between AL-Sham (Syria today) and Makkah city which make it an arena for many events between Quraish (Makkah Leaders) and the Prophet Muhammad peace be open him and many incursion for the prophet in that region like Buat and Al-Ushairah and AL-Eis squadron (names of regions inside Yanbu AL-Nakhal today).

Yanbu AL-Nakhal was in the Hejra's fourth century more developed than AL-Madinah city and has more population, AL-Bakri historian wrote that Mohd. AL-Sabah said "Yanbu has more than ninety nine water springs".

And in Meraat Jazerat AL-Arab for the historian Aiob Basha written that Yanbu AL-Nakhal at that time was a big villages surrounding with its four sides by running water springs which help the inhabitants for agriculture and building the gardens and orchards with a majority of uncounted palms trees and that?s why got the name Yanbu AL-Nakhal (The Palms' Spring) and in the region uncounted of running springs that flow after gardens and orchards irrigation without any usefulness.

Yanbu AL-Nakhal; Juhaina's hometown, Juhaina tribe settled here since oldness with agriculture specially palm trees till the Islamic conquer after that Yanbu land become the roost prech of Arab traders of Quraish and Thaqeef and AL-Ansar , the fourth caliph Ali Bin Abi Talib bought an area in of south of Yanbu AL-Nakhal on the way going to the sea and that land still for his children from AL-Hasan descendants that known after by AL-Hasaneen and from them descended the royal family in Morocco.
