  Flora de la mer
by Designerartgirl

This museum is housed within a massive replica portuguese ship - Flora de la mar and inside here you can view the detailed version of melaka's history, through portuguese, dutch and british rule..

Also on show are things like old artifacts such as swords and maps, some of which date back to the 15th century.

This is near the tourism museum and the dutch square, meaning that you normally wont be able to miss it.

Entry is about RM2, which is about 0.30 and is open daily from 9am to 6 pm. Tours are also sometimes conducted, but its easy enough to walk through it by yourself, and you can then take time to read everything at leisure.

Address: Central Melaka
Directions: head out to a'famosa direction and you wont be able to miss the ship.
