"Up and Coming Bands at the Paradise Rock Club" Paradise Tip by amapola66
Paradise, Boston: 3 reviews and 1 photos
I have a fond spot for the Paradise...as I played there back in '96 on the 4AD 'Shaving the Pavement' tour.
The venue tends to host the coolest bands around at the time, leaning more towards the Alternative/Independent music scene and many who go on to fill even bigger venues later in their careers.
There is a surrounding balcony from which you can usually grab a good spot and get a good view of the stage without being squashed to death by the masses.
Next door you?ll find the Paradise Lounge, a bar, restaurant featuring a full menu and decorated with the artwork of local artists & the odd dj performance.
I have been back since to see a few bands.
I guess, at the end of the day, it's a normal kind of rock club in many ways, but as I say, I have fond memories.
