"ARCTIC CIRCLE - DAY 13" Norway Things to Do Tip by novsco61

Norway Things to Do: 771 reviews and 1,349 photos

This is the obvious place for any traveller to stop. The Arctic Circle Centre's striking architecture is adapted to its natural surroundings, and the Arctic Circle itself runs right through the building. The Arctic Circle Centre is open during the season from May 1 to September 15.

At the Arctic Circle Centre you will find:

-a cafeteria that chiefly serves North Norwegian food.
- a large souvenir and giftshop.
- exhibitions covering art, trade and industry, tourism and a separate exhibition of stuffed arctic animais including Europe's largest stuffed polar bear.
- a letter office where all postcards get stamped with a special Artic Circle Seal.
- an excellent movie theatre featuring our own multi-vision programme, "NORTH NORWAY", with gorgeous pitures and music from North Norway.
